    Current Favs: Summer 2018 Edition

    Hey Everyone!

Can you believe I’ve actually kinda kept up with this blog now for almost three years??? Our anniversary is in a few weeks and ironically I will be doing the exact same thing I was doing when I started the blog: Going to Ireland via Chicago! Fingers crossed this is a smooth trip (and not a three-day-fiasco like that other time….)

Since I don’t have any current travel info to share with you all I thought I would do a round up of some of my current favorite beauty/household favorites!

    • Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter: This stuff is great! Thick, moisturizing, but not sticky. Absorbs quickly, smells clean-coconutty not frozen-drink-coconutty.
    • Trader Joe’s Rose Hand Cream: I keep this in my purse for on the go. I would equate it to a less expensive version of the La Occitone hand creams.
    • Young Living Essential Oils and Diffuser: you guys already know I love these. My collection is quickly growing!
    • Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Face Wash: I needed something that was going to be able to get allllll of my makeup off and almost tried their new Oil Cleaning product. I chatted with a sales girl and she said if you are more on the combo/oily side to try this one. I loveeee it and it lasts FOREVER.
    • Mrs. Meyer’s Basil Scented Cleaning Products: They smell great and get the job done. Incredibly helpful when you have a messy little frenchie running around the house!
    • Marc Jacobs ReMARCable Matte Full Coverage Foundation: I’ve tried soooo many “full-coverage” foundations and this one is the best by far. a.) so many different shades b.) actual buildable coverage c.) does stay matte d.) lasts a long time e.) easy to find at my neighborhood Sephora (helloooo points!)
    • YSL Concealer: definitely not my every day under eye concealer (I mainly wear glasses during the week so then I use the NYX concealer, which I also love) but this is great for when I feel like taking it to 10 with my weekend/nighttime make-up looks. Is on the pricey side, but worth it
    • Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo: A wonderful drug store find. Lasts forever. Comes in a few different scents (I prefer the unscented one). Works way better than other, pricier options. I put it in at night and then in the morning brush it through. If a product could be my best friend, this would be it.
    • The Dry Bar Triple-Sec: this is great for when I’ve curled my hair and want more of a beauty wave. It smells AMAZING, texturizes the hair, volumizes, and acts as a dry shampoo too! It’s not an every-day item for me, but comes through in the clutch when I need it.
    • Trader Joe’s Chocolate Croissants!: ok not really a beauty or household item, but I found these at Trader Joe’s a few weeks ago and the world needs to know about them. The night before you want them just take them out of the package (they will be small and frozen) and place them on a greased baking sheet. In the morning you will find that they have like quadrupled in size and are ready to be baked. 20 minutes later and you have your very own fresh, bakery quality chocolate croissants. I know, I’ve just killed all of your diet gains with this secret, but just remember that every body is a bikini body.

Hope you enjoyed and Happy Reading! 🙂
