I actually have time to blog during this lovely Memorial Day weekend!Â
In early April I went down to Tampa, Florida to meet up with my college friends for a wedding. Even though we didn’t visit the beach the whole time we were there (I know, a travesty) we had a great time catching up and reminnsing over all of the crazy things we did back in college.
My friends, DT and Andrea, brought their super cute baby girl, Harper. I hadn’t gotten to see her yet so that was awesome. They are also pregnant with their second so Andrea was our built in DD 🙂 They were the real MVPs for getting the van and carting all of us around for a few days.
Brandon’s parents were awesome and rented us a huge house to stay in that also had a pool. We were very convinced that we were staying in a murder house. It had such a weird layout and odd features it HAD to have been a funeral home at some point. Jacqueline and I spent awhile trying to research the history of the house, but the owners didn’t provide the wi-fi code so that made it more difficult since our signal wasn’t very strong.
It was a short weekend and I wish we all could have extended but 3 people in our group were teachers and the school year was still in session so that didn’t work out. Hopefully it doesn’t take us this long to get together in the future.
A few weeks later was my birthday! You all should know me well enough at this point to know that I stretched that celebration out as long as I could. I had something going on almost every night for 2 weeks! Thank you to all of you who helped me celebrate 🙂
My mom’s birthday is the day before mine so she and I went to Capital Grille in Plano for a combined birthday dinner. It was fantastic! I think that is going to be our new go-to celebration spot 🙂
My sister got me  gift I’ve been wanting for a long time…. A DOG STROLLER!
Karma hates other dogs and also gets tired easily, so this is my new way to take her around with me wherever I go! She is zipped in so she can’t jump out at other dogs 🙂 Plus, its leopard!Â
I had several birthday dinners and one very large birthday brunch at Henry’s Majestic. We had more people than I had accounted for and they were great at accommodating such a large party!
April was a great month, but stick around for my May recap!
Happy Reading!
